Exports

Viewing affiliate commissions

You can get information about affiliate commissions earned and owed from multiple places within Enlistly.

📄Affiliate Details Page:
To see how much a specific affiliate has earned and is due view that affiliate's details page. From here you will see an "Earning" section that displays the outstanding balance, total earned, and total paid.

📄Affiliate Listing Page:
On the affiliate listings page, each affiliate row displays the current outstanding balance. The outstanding balance is sortable using the sort drop-down menu. Negative balances are paced in parentheses ie. ($10.57).

📄Affiliate Export:
When an affiliate export is run the total amount paid and the total commission earned is calculated per affiliate row in the CSV. This is great for in-house reporting.

📄Order Export:
Every order tracked in Enlistly has a calculated earned commission. Every order row in the export contains this value and is available for in-house reporting.

📄Payouts:
When you visit the Payouts page you will find the outstanding, total earned, and total paid for all of your affiliates along with a list of previous payouts.​

📄New Payout Page:
When creating a new payout from the new payout page you can search for affiliates by email. When the affiliate is selected the outstanding, total earned, and total paid will be displayed.

Exporting orders

Exporting orders is important for any shop to run custom in-house reporting. Enlistly makes creating order exports a breeze.

  • From the orders page apply any necessary filters.
  • You will find a button with an export icon (up arrow) at the top of the list.
  • Clicking this will start the export process.
  • When clicked, a dialog will pop up, you may optionally name the export, then click "Generate Export".

The time it takes for the export to complete depends on the amount of data in the export. You can download all generated exports from the Exports page in your dashboard.

How to export order details in Affiliate's page?

It is important for an affiliate to export order details for reporting or analytical purposes.

Enlistly supports exporting order details on the Affiliate's page.

To do so, kindly follow these simple steps for exporting your report:

  1. Log in to the affiliate's page.
  2. Go to the "Orders" tab in the sidebar menu.
  3. Click on either "Export Customer Data" or "Export order data" depending on your report needs.
  4. You'll be receiving your report in a few seconds.

FAQ

Where can I find my registration URL?

You can find your affiliate registration link in your registration & login settings under the "link to the registration/login page" section (https://enlistly.com/settings/registration).

Use this URL to link any new affiliates to your shop's registration page. Post it on social media, create a link on your website, etc.

Adding orders manually

Manually adding Shopify orders to Enlistly is just 3 easy steps.

  1. Find the order in Shopify that you want to credit the affiliate with. View the order details in your Shopify dashboard.
  2. Find the affiliate in the Enlistly dashboard and view their details. Copy the affiliate's referral code.
  3. In the notes section of your Shopify order add the text "ref=code". Replace the code with the affiliate referral code you copied in the previous step.

That's it, the order will show up in enlistly within a few seconds.

Which commission rate takes precedence?

Enlistly allows shops to configure a commission rate per affiliate and discount code. If an affiliate referral order contains both a link referral and a discount code referral the discount code commission rate will take precedence.

How do I delete an affiliate?

You'll want to inactivate the affiliate. This can be done by viewing the affiliate details and updating their status to inactive. By doing so you put them on a deny list. No orders with be tracked and it does not count towards your plan's affiliate limits.

Can you affiliate market on Shopify?

Yes, you can. Getting started

The following is a list of items you will want to configure when setting up your shop with Enlistly.

  1. Set your default commission rate. The commission rate affiliates will first be assigned when they register for your program.
  2. Updated the cookie duration. The number of days a referral cookie will stay active after a referral visit.
  3. Upload your logo. Used in affiliate notifications and your themed registration page.
  4. Configure your registration form. You will find the URL to your themed registration page here. You can turn on/off certain fields on the form, update the color scheme, add custom terms, and password-protect registration.
  5. Personalized welcome message. Welcome emails get sent to new affiliates.
  6. Create and share links with your registration URL to sign up new affiliates.

Where can I find my registration URL?

You can find your affiliate registration link in your registration & login settings under the "link to the registration/login page" section (https://enlistly.com/settings/registration). Use this URL to link any new affiliates to your shops' registration page. Post it on social media, create a link on your website, etc.

Default commission rate setting

One of the first things you will want to do is set up your default commission rate. The default commission rate is the rate given to affiliates when they register with you, and it will determine the percentage the affiliate will earn when they convert a referred order.

To update the default commission rate, follow the steps below:

  1. Visit your shop settings page.
  2. Access the settings page by clicking on Settings in the navigation menu on the left or using the drop-down menu by clicking on your name in the top right corner.
  3. From the setting page, look for the "Account Info" block and click "Update Info".
  4. Set your desired default commission rate and hit "Save" to commit your changes.

Referral cookie duration

Referral cookies are set whenever an active affiliate refers a customer to your site and an existing cookie does not exist. The duration that this cookie is valid for can be configured on the tracking settings page.

In the cookie duration field enter your desired value in days. There is no limit to how long you would like a cookie to be valid. Common values at 7, 30, and 365 days.

Custom terms and conditions

As a shop, you are not required to alter your business model by using Enlistly, and adding custom terms and conditions allows you to get as detailed as necessary regarding your program.

For example, it may be your policy that you only pay commissions using PayPal – by setting the custom terms and conditions in your settings, affiliates who register with you will have access to that policy at any time.

You can update your terms and conditions from the settings page and select the registration forms options.

Default invitation message setting

You can send email invitations to known potential affiliates from the affiliates' invite page. Instead of re-writing your message every time, you can set a default message in your settings.

  • Access the settings page by clicking on "Settings" in the navigation menu on the left or using the drop-down menu by clicking on your name in the top right corner.
  • From the settings page locate Invite Message and click "Update Message" (You may also click here.)

Fill out your default invite message and or subject and click the "Save" button to commit your changes. Going back to your affiliate invite page the form is prefilled with the default message.

Custom welcome message

Each time an affiliate registers for your shop they will receive a welcome message. You can customize this message to welcome your affiliates in a way that matches your shop's messaging.

You can find this setting by visiting the settings page and selecting the welcome message setting.

Adding a logo

Enlistly will use your shop logo on your custom registration page and customized emails. To upload your shop's logo visit your settings page and select the upload logo option.

Select add image or drag your image into the upload box. Your logo will be resized to a max width of 400px and a max height of 200px maintaining the original aspect ratio.

How to customize the Registration page?

If you'd like to personalize your affiliate's registration form and give it a unique look that matches your store's theme, Enlistly makes it super easy to do so.

To start customizing the registration form, simply follow these steps:

  1. Navigate to your Enlistly app and go to "Registration & Login."
  2. In the form settings tab, you can update your registration password (optional), your "Sign Up Page Header Text," and add a quick introduction text.
  3. In the "Form Fields" tab, you can enable fields that you want to include in your registration form, such as social media (e.g., Facebook), age, address, and more. Depending on your needs, you can add other form fields available in the options.
  4. In the branding tab, you can update the basic theme of your registration page, such as the background color of the form, links, and buttons.

How much commission does a customer apply a discount code to the order?

Enlistly supports discount codes for orders, and an affiliate can earn a specific commission when a customer uses the said discount code during checkout.

The amount of commission you will receive when a customer uses this discount code will depend on the commission rate/amount set by the store owner.

To access the discount code assigned by the store owner, you can simply follow these steps:

  1. Navigate to your Enlistly dashboard.
  2. Go to the "Referral links" section.
  3. The discount code URL will be available below your affiliate's code.
  4. You can share the code after the word "discount/" in the URL with your customers for them to use during checkout.

How can I ensure that my affiliates are only receiving a commission on a specific product and nothing else?

If you have selected "Set a collection-specific tier" when you set your commission rate, your affiliate will only be getting the specific commission rate for the item collection you have added to this commission tier.

For example, you have set a $4 commission rate for collection "A". Your affiliate will only be getting the $4 commission rate if the product belongs to the collection "A".

How do you set a specific commission for an item/collection?

In Enlistly, you can absolutely set a specific commission for an item/collection by following these straightforward steps:

  1. Visit your Enlistly shop settings page by clicking on "Settings" in the navigation menu on the left or using the drop-down menu by clicking on your name in the top right corner.
  2. On the settings tab, click on "Commission Settings".
  3. On the next page, you can start setting/adjusting the specific commission you want to apply to the item or collection. You can also select if you want to use the affiliate's rate for a specific tier.
  4. The next step is to select the collection where you want to apply the commission you have set. You can search for the specific collection in the search bar under the "Select a collection" field. Once you select the specific collection, you can also exclude a product for which you don't want to apply the specific commission you have set.
  5. Click the "add commission rate" button to save your specific commission in the targeted collection.
  6. You will now see the specific commission you have set under "Current commission rates." You also have the option to edit the commission rate you have set for specific commissions and delete them if you want to.

Payouts

Generate payouts automatically

To configure Enlistly to automatically generate payouts enable it on the payout settings page (settings/payouts).


Automatic payout generation can be configured to run at a set interval, specified payment method, and with an earnings threshold.

Intervals

1. Weekly: Payouts will be generated once a week at the start of Sunday.

2. Monthly: Payouts will be generated once a month on the first of every month.

3. Semimonthly (1st and 15th): Payouts will be generated on the 1st and 15th of every month.


The payout interval represents an end date. This means all earnings up to the date determined by the interval will be included in the payout. On a recurring basis, the earnings calculated in a payout would most likely fall between the date range included in the set interval. However, it is possible a backdated referral order or commission earnings adjusted for an order placed before the previous payout can be included.

Minimum Earnings

The minimum earning setting determines the minimum amount of commissions earned to generate a payout. For example, if you only pay after the affiliate has earned 25.00 or more a payout will not be generated if the affiliate earned 24.99 or less.

Payment Method

Select the payment method the generated payouts should be created for.


All payouts generated automatically are set to a status of pending. You can filter all

pending payouts from the payouts listing page.

Paying with PayPal

A shop can pay affiliates through PayPal by selecting the PayPal payment option when creating a new payout. Once created click on the complete payment through PayPal option to begin. It is important to note that Enlistly does not interact with your PayPal account directly and does not request permission to do so.

Enlistly provides a preformatted URL to initiate payment between you and the affiliate. Once the payment has been completed PayPal will notify Enlistly with confirmation details. Enlistly will then complete the payout and record the transaction ID for reference.

Can you contact a store owner on my behalf for a commission concern?

Currently, Enlistly doesn't have permission to check nor release a payment.

We recommend you keep open communication between store owners regarding your commission or payment. You may also share the name of the store with us and we can get the store's contact information and then share it with you.

Converting customers

By default Enlistly will automatically invite your order customers to join your affiliate program. You can enable/disable this and update the messaging in the "Invite Messaging" settings found here.
